1. Getting Started
Installing the Add-on
- Open Google Sheets.
- Go to Extensions → Add-ons → Get add-ons.
- Search for Frisson Event Sync.
- Click Install, then review and grant the requested Google permissions.
Once installed, open it anytime under Extensions → Frisson Event Sync → Open Sidebar.
Setting Up
In the sidebar:
- Select your Google Calendar (you can choose from any calendars your account has access to).
- Choose a pay-period frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly).
- Enter a start date for a pay cycle.
- Click Import Events to populate your Sheet.
Each event will appear with its:
- Date
- Start Time
- End Time
- Duration
- Event Title
- Calendar Name
Refreshing Data
Frisson Event Sync automatically detects updates in your Google Calendar.
You can also refresh manually by reopening the sidebar and clicking Sync Calendar Data.
This updates new, changed, or deleted events without overwriting unrelated data.
2. Common Questions
Q: My events aren’t showing up.
A: Confirm you granted permissions during installation.
Visit Google Account → Security → Third-party access, verify Frisson Event Sync is listed, and reopen the sidebar.
Q: Can I choose which calendars to sync?
A: Yes — the sidebar lets you select any calendar you have access to, including shared or secondary ones.
Q: How do I adjust my pay-period settings?
A: Reopen the sidebar, update your frequency or start date, then click Rebuild Pay Periods to reformat your data automatically.
Q: Does this store my data anywhere else?
A: No. All data remains in your Google Sheet. Frisson Event Sync does not upload, transmit, or share any information externally.
3. Troubleshooting

| Sidebar stuck on “Loading…” | Refresh the spreadsheet, reopen the sidebar, or clear browser cache. |
| Missing or incomplete events | Expand your date range or verify the selected calendar contains those events. |
| OAuth prompt reappears | If permissions were revoked or cookies cleared, simply reauthorize when prompted. No data loss will occur. |
| Add-on not appearing under Extensions | Make sure you’re logged into the same Google account used during installation. |
